Factors Associated With Resilience Among People With Spinal Cord Injury in the Community Setting

Objectives: The present cross-sectional study was done to acknowledge the level of resilience, its association with quality life (QoL), community integration, and demographic/injury-related variables, identify determinants that affect resilience among spinal cord injury individuals living in community. Methods: data were collected from 108 participants using convenience sampling method. A questionnaire used characteristics participants. CD-RISC10, World Health Organization life-BREF (WHOQOL-BREF), integration questionnaire-revised (CIQ-R) measure QoL, integration. Association between independent variables examined through Pearson’s correlation Point-Biserial correlation, whereas, univariate multivariate linear regression analyses applied influence factors contribute t-test ANOVA employed resilience. Results: Almost 78% had a moderate-to-high In analysis, gender, marital status, profession found be statistically significant. Among these predictors, employment higher beta value (β=0.684, P=0.026), which signifies importance evaluating Significant associations established QoL domains, demographic included duration since injury, frequency going out. Discussion: research brings attention significance appropriate interventions, such as vocational rehabilitation support well awareness about help strengthen reintegration amongst SCI into their communities. further longitudinal is recommended determine predictive dynamic nature over time.
